Amazing, constant rumbles coming from that cell, literally without a break, it sounds like a jet flying around in circles. Just started raining now.

Dont know how you pick that up VRB but you are right, quite a chunky blob of Cj massing up over Sale itself to our SSE, the only stormy potential cloud I've seen around here all day. 30% RH 29.5 C (29.9 max) so hard work mowing the lawns and fixing cars.

The wind died off early arvo and is now a light northerly - hoping for that storm but worried about enough moisture.

A quick question to everybody, is it good that that light rain at Clunes has broken up, for the storms?

I would love to be around that cell near Macedon, but there's no way in hell I would want to be in it, especially if my house was in the middle of that. Nasty beast that is. :o :o

We're getting hail here now. Only fairly small and a lot of it is melting before it hits the ground. Actual precipitation is not heavy here yet.

Significant risk of severe weather through northern and eastern suburbs with large hail and damaging winds of concern. The storm is showing signs of rotation and is wobbling down to the SSE. I suspect the next few frames will determine where it is going..

Otherwise lots of instability coming in from the NW.

24/15 here.

I suspect the Mountain will break it up......these isolated storms tend to do that in my opinion.

Yep, radar says that one has gone just to my south, we just caught the edge, macedon/gisborne will get a good dump from that lot though.

Alot of birds chirping away, indicating rain is fast approaching. Hoping that cell over Macedon hits Melbourne's Inner Eastern suburbs.

Gee, I'm actually lucky that core of this cell is around 5km west of here around the western side of Macedon because they would be getting caned by large hail. thunder is still constant but it is all Cc and above the cloud base because I can't see any lightning. We're not actually getting anything worth recording here atm rainfall wise.

Wow by the looks of the radar, I would have thought the town was on the edge of the black stuff and still getting hit hard by rainfall!

Also, winds seemed to have become slightly stronger now, and the sky is getting quite dark

Brad & John around south of Heathcote, deciding to go for that monster, they have a visual on it. Looks like it will steer a bit more east

It would be an interesting drive on the Calder around Gisborne/Macedon. Windscreens Obrien might be doing a good trade soon.

It's crazy to the SW, I've got a good look at it now. Almost looks like a tornado is trying to form. I wouldn't want to be in the path of it that's for sure.

It's 22.8c and DP is 11c, getting darker to my north west, might go for a walk to get a better visual - that storm is insane! If it does make it here it's probably going to be epic!
