5mm overnight and another 5mm so far today
The rain out west is thickening up nicely :P
Expecting anther 20mm today (min)
Unreal start to summer...so much for ElNino in southern Vic ;)

17mm for us today. Temp has been slipping steadily since midnight. Was around 16° then and all the way down to 11° by mid afternoon. Nice and cool. A lovely start to summer.

3 rumbles of thunder this morning very early, lots of rain....the severe thunderstorms didnt eventuate

Another rain all day Saturday for us. A touch under 17mm when I last checked. Has eased off now, but a great drop nonetheless. A couple of rumbles this morning too.

Non-stop rain here since the wee hours, only backing off somewhat now. 21.5mm so far.

Rain stopped a couple of hours ago here. 21mm since early this morning.

I had an L2P learner driver (from Wallan), drive over the mountain yesterday morning! Pea soup fog with rain from Mt Macedon town to Straws Lane on the northern side! A great driving experience!

We proceeded to Moama where it was an overcast 30C.

Back in Wallan - 15C. An impressive temperature gradient. 12 mm rain so far - just mizzle atm.

System is now focussed in SA with the troughs moving west. Huge falls out there. Some December records already fallen. Cool maxima with all the rain out there.

Weather turns hot for much of VIC and warm for Tasmania from Monday. Will pop into the low 40s in the Mallee. Showers and storms will be sparse for most. Some horrible air over NSW is horrible with widespread low to mid 40s yesterday. Only spotted one maximum record at Sydney Ap but lots of places not far short.

Showers and storms come back around mid week as the low gets captured by the westerlies.

Latest ACCESS showing heavy rain/storms for tomorrow across central Vic, lets see how this plays out.

Off topic for this thread, but check out the huge dust storm on satellite in NW Western Australia !

That fog is still thick since yesterday.
We had 23.5mm all up. Takes us over the yearly average. 960mm now

Some big falls under that band of storms but somehow managed to miss areas north of the city 🤔

Humid with showers and storms today for the mainland. Fine and mild for TAS.

Next few days are messy with poor consistency between models and models runs.

Was surprised those storms on radar last night made it to Melbourne this morning. 20mm here from mod/heavy rain lasting less than an hour. That's 35 mm for the weekend.

17.4mm overnight with the storms making 33mm for the weekend. M-T-D 54mm, sure better garden watering than I could do.

7 completely sunless days in the last 2 weeks in Melb.

Must be some kind of record for the time of year!
