A nice drop of rain overnight here - 27mm. Picked up quite a bit before midnight with some very heavy rain and then more again during the night.

Currently 8.5c, so it's pretty chilly, especially as the temp is not likely to go up a great deal today.

Must be only a couple of degrees above freezing up there on the mountain, Macedonian?

20mm overnight which brings the total to 34mm
Lots more to come with frequent showers till mid next week with low deepening around eastern Bass Strait
Make the most of it with possible/ probable El Nino on our doorstep :o

Down to 2° now. Dead calm. No real wind today at all. I was expecting it to be blustery.
Very cold for early May.

Beefy showers moving through bayside in the SW stream.
Just had a heavy hail shower lasting 5 mins. Looks like more to come on radar.

Snow falling but not settling this morning.
0.8° now.
Likely the earliest snow that I have seen here in twenty years.
Our good May fall around '07 was about a week later than this.

Not surprised Macedonian, it's bitter out there. Here we've got 1.5C, misty, with a stiff southerly. Brrrr. No precipitation to speak of though so no snow for us. (1.5mm in the gauge but all that's from sleety showers yesterday afternoon.)

4.4c here currently. Was 3.3c earlier this morning. And it feels cold!

It's raining here at the moment, but we've only had a few more mm since yesterday morning. Melb CBD has done well in the past 24 hours, with 22.6mm from a steady southerly stream of showers.

Enjoy the snow Macedonian!

Missed out on most of the rain here in the last 27 hours.
Just 0.4mm's since 9am yesterday at my place (compared with over 25mm's in Melbourne (Olympic Park)
for the same period.
Ballarat Airport has had only 0.2mm's since 9am yesterday.
Cold though down to 2.0c overnight - 1.6c at the Airport.
Right now its 7.9c

All week down in southern Tasmania to expect the most terrible weekend weather from the BOM
Snow to 600meters hail wind blah blah
Turned out some frosty mornings but lots of sunny periods and not one drop of above
How did they get it so wrong?
Just makes me always ask how many people cancel plans ect based on forecasts that are so far wrong ?
Disappointed to the max

Excellent rain totals for many parts of central particularly great eastern Melb. Here in Elwood we've had 35mm way above what I was expecting.

So many heavy hail showers too.

Macedonian great to see the snow there as is to see good 5-10cm in the alps.

Freezing day for me, 0.7° min and 3.6° max.
Both yesterday and today came in under the forecast max.
A 3.6° max would not be out of place in July but its pretty impressive for early May.

Sure was cold yesterday. The temp spiked very briefly to 8.4c but for much of the day was around 6c and below.

Lots of wintry showers too with rain, hail and sleet. We scored 12mm yesterday and overnight, which brings the total for the dates to a neat 50mm.

Right now, it's a lovely morning, sunny with a gentle breeze, autumn colours, and a fairly crisp 8.2c.

A mostly dry weekend here. We had 8mm all up, almost all on Friday night.

A cold 0.7c start this morning.

Looking ahead, not much on the horizon. Starting to get El-Nino vibes...
