Bit of non event here in southern Tasmania with the upslide too our north. Been cold, cloudy and windy, but mostly fine.

Have a window tonight with rain now spilling in from north. Progs suggest maybe a few mms.

Going to be a wet 36 hours for Victoria, particularly near central where there could be 50mm locally.

EC has another big system next week. Looks nasty with potential for heavy falls on the northern slopes. After a record drought in the MDBA across 2017-19 seems like the climate is determined to give us a record or near record wet spell :o

Few storm warnings coming up now and a bit of flash flooding out there too. Interesting times.

12mm over the past 45 minutes and still raining heavily. The Melb radar is malfunctioning, so it’s a bit hard to judge it all, but the system appears to be moving fairly slowly so totals may well add up. No thunder or lightning here so far.

Steady rain here for the past hour or so
The radar looks interesting with an embedded line of thunderstorms getting organised as it crosses the bay
About to hit here so just a heads up :P

We copped a heavy downpour last night. Event total now 47mm. Large volumes of water now going into the Campaspe and Loddon rivers. Everything is runoff.

More next week by the looks of it (OCF Ensemble has 55mm). It's becoming a weekly occurrence....

Very heavy rain at times last night. Almost 30mm all up.

The sun is out now before the cold front closes in later this morning.

Blimey! Thanks for those numbers. I've been so focused on what's been going on in the south-east mainland, I forgot about Tassie.

Doing okay here; missing the worst of it so far with 22.5mm for the dates.

Raining steadily since, but with the stupid Broadmeadows radar, can't tell what's to come...

Now that's more like it. After 2 non-event La Ninas here, we are now getting rain fronts on steroids, just like 2011. Great downpour this morning

The Laverton radar has been a complete lemon ever since they did that major upgrade a few years ago. :x

21mm here from the rain this morning, and quite a lot more than I had expected. It just came down like a tropical downpour. That already takes us to 69mm for the month.

The sun is out now and it's a very humid 17.4c.
