Lovely convergence, 10mm so far here, moderate rain getting heavier . East Trentham has a gauge on 50mm. It's flow is starting to go from southerly to south easterly. Parts of Melbourne might get another round this morning.
The wind is getting nasty now. And temp of 3-4C last 14 hours, so it's lucky we're getting useful rain because in every other respect the weather is horrible!
One weird thing is the high barometer, rare to get good rain at 1020 hPa. Passed 30mm rain.

Got 10mm from the pre frontal. Quite good considering it's now clearly a western Melbourne event in the wrap around. Water supply dams now finally starting to rise and was hoping for a big rise after this event but it looks not to be. The Lerderderg river might be flowing now??
A couple of local flood advices on Vic Emergency app, so I reckon the Lerderderg is a good chance to be flowing hard!
Up to 33mm here - I can't believe I'm saying this, but that might just about do for now!
(Btw yesterday a farmer near Clarkes Hill (about half way between Daylesford and Ballarat) told us he recorded nearly 300mm for May .)
The Lerderderg was dry on the weekend at the gorge but I think it should start flowing now, the catchment was so dry before May that it’s needing a lot of rain to start flowing.
Just a bit too far west to get the best of that Rain, places like Ballan and Bachus Marsh would have done well.
Anyway 14mm's up to 9am but none since.

Very dry catchments, the creeks around macedon/mt macedon still have fairly meagre flows despite up to 150mm in the last month.
We need a lot more!
Home- "Shepherd's Bush" at Mt Macedon. 870m
Work- "Bolobek" at Macedon. 430m
44mm in Lara since dinner time which is great. Driving to Melbourne this morning I noticed paddocks full of water around Little River so not doubt they've had 50-60mm.
