Absolutely beautiful sunrise this morning; looked very unstable as the first band approached from the west. I was travelling into the city on the train when the heavy rain hit, didn't last too long, however it's good to see some minor falls to around 5mm in some places.
Regarding thunderstorms, touch and go in my opinion for Melbourne area, especially western suburbs etc. I think Jasmine nails it in her diagram she posted not long ago, that will be the focus and then into eastern districts. However, I'm happy to eat my words!
Also, at the moment, it's best to post photos to a 3rd party and then link to the forum via the [img] tag. We are working with a company to enable a better way to upload photos to the forum compared to the current (horrible) method.

I have a feeling that rainband was "IT" and now it will be cooler.
Thunderstorm chance now zero.
Or am i looking at it the wrong way?
Those tragics amoungst us live in hope for something mid arvo. Its very humid,
things could stack up to the west agin the northerly and give us a show.
Regarding posting images, I've been using this one for the last couple of years, it's very simple and reliable...https://postimage.io/
Just choose an image from your device or whatever folder it's in on your PC and then click on the list where it says "Hotlink for Forums" and then just paste that in this forum.
3.5mm from the rainband and now we wait.............................................................................................................
2.3mm this morning here in Tarneit, storms this arvo would be icing on the cake.
My Wunderground forecast for my locality is stating 16mm for Monday, 13mm for Tuesday... I'd be happy with that
Looks like it's back to Summer again next weekend though... Could be warmish for the F1 race!
24.6c and a DP of 18.3c in Kyneton, sunny breaks amongst the cumulus and a light northerly. Coldstream has a very similar reading and conditions atm. WSW and cloud cover not doing any favours around Melbourne.
Expecting things to pop in the next hour or so. Mainly northeast of the city. The southerly is very shallow and anything developing north of it will ride the mid level NWly flow south.
A very warm and sticky 26.9c here now. DP 17.2c. I wasn't expecting storms and still don't expect any for Kyneton but for nothing so far to the north east of Melbourne is surprising. Looking at the sat pic and obs it seems like a blanket of cloud is preventing surface heating and the cool south westerly isn't helping.
Access R had a decent miss to the East of Melbourne from 11 to 2pm.
