BOM Forecasts: AM versus PM

I follow the local towns forecasts closely and it seems that beyond a day or two out, the 7-day town forecasts issued by BOM hardly ever change between the afternoon forecast issued one day, and the morning forecast issued the next day.
Am I right in thinking then that the forecast beyond two days is only really updated (for practical purposes) once a day at 4.30 pm-ish?
