Just heading into the Ballan monster, on the train... Black as soot, lots of flashes. Awesome CC just then as we sit here at Bacchus Marsh
I'll try and get some photos but the train is packed and I'm on the wrong side.....

Ok.I've had it with the bureau. They issue a stw for dandenong and melbourne city, but the storms are going to miss both these areas. I don't know about the city, but the one for dandenong is going to miss by 3km. I know first hand.why is the bom so unreliable?

Very uninspiring stuff here today. Nothing but anvils in the distance, a tower that only started dropping rain after it had gone over us already, and the air atm doesnt feel very moist to me. Only a few benign patched of Cu to the far NNW. Looks like its finished here already.... Really, really hope i'm wrong though, and I probably will be :P Just 2mm from a weak cell around 3pm

So this means Melbourne gets storms later?

I've had nothing today. Just heard a few rumbles of thunder, a little disappointing..

Most of the greater Melb area whiffed that lot, but about sunset that line well out to the west could be cracking us :)

Just came back from Berwick viewing the cell that was a long way out SW, saw lots of lowering scud in stages and it had a really nice updraft shooting well above the anvil for the last 30 mins before it died. Pretty hazey from where I was but was using 100 to 400mm to see what was happening.

I also just found the spot where the radiator is leaking on my car, so will be getting a change over one in the next 2 - 3 days.

That storm hit 10 minutes before I left work, it came out of nowhere! Heavy rain, thunder & small hail. Short lived but enjoyed! :D

Just arrived home, not a drop has fallen here inside the Caroline Springs storm shield, suprise surprise. I'll stick with my prediction earlier, no storms for me here at home.
