I believe it Lara_Hunter, some pretty intense cells went through there. I'm actually not to far from you, here in Wyndham Vale.
Apparently at the local private station we collected 11.7mm. We hardly get any rain and that's a good drink for us to say the least. I'm sure your familiar with that in Lara.
44mm......WOW. HB.
little over 10mm sitting in my plastic,
let this bit soak in and Im happy with some more in a hour or so..
Was great watching the low black clouds just hover over head earlier..
One day I'll get lightening hitting those towers, if only life let you just sit and watch..
Geelong saying 54.2mm.
The cell that went over Geelong looked like it contained very heavy rainfall ... so not surprised by the reports there. We've put up a photo on our Facebook page of Simonds stadium being flooded. Good work from the team here in warning about thunderstorms potentially causing flooding today.

Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce damaging winds, heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding and large hailstones in the warning area over the next several hours. Locations which may be affected include Ballarat, Bendigo, Shepparton, Seymour, Maryborough, Geelong, Melbourne, Wangaratta, Traralgon and Bairnsdale.
Thunderstorms have produced some strong winds with a gust to 90 km/h recorded at Swan Hill. Further damaging gusts may be recorded with storms in the north and the east.
My garage has been flooded massively and a little in the house. We will be right, could be worse. Lucky all my work equipment was above ground level......
You're right Wilko ... apart from this next band moving across the bay and into the eastern suburbs, the next lot will be in the form of cold-air showers and thunderstorms, which will come up from the southwest. Bay should certainly make things interesting for the eastern and southeast suburbs tonight and tomorrow. Winds will also pick up overnight and tomorrow morning, reaching gale force at times near the coast and strong elsewhere.

13mm here with the heaviest fall around 30 mins ago, 6mm in 10mins and backyard was like a lake for a small time although radar only showing blue on radar, but around 3 times what the consensus of models were forecasting here so pretty wrapped :Dand did get some small hail earlier as well. All in all a good day and hoping for another 2 or 3mm to come. Good to see some nice falls around in patches and lets hope it's the start of something.
