She’s looking chunky. Should be fun here in the next few hours.

Cloud tops reaching into the -60's degrees in several locations now in northern Vic. Here is 24c with a DP near 15c.

STW for Northern Country, North Central and others.
Light rain here in Doveton, looking like another couple of hours til it all starts happening on a wider front.

The multicell south of Echuca just split with a right hander heading directly south and showing rotation on doppler. Might be heading towards Heathcote, then Kilmore, Wallan.

Looks nasty. It'll miss us though.

A rather beastly cell to our West - fast moving from the North and reminds me of the December storms last year.

Bendigo Airport AWS does its usual all wind and no rain routine - 0 mm and 96 km/h wind gusts. It's the desert end of town.

A few mm in Kangaroo Flat. Nothing special.

I'm a little concerned that it's all a little too fast moving.

Cloud cover is hampering storm development. Most likely a band of rain will develop by 10pm and clear by 4am.

My bet is 15-25mm in eastern suburbs

It looks impressive, but doesn't seem particularly impressive. Rain totals aren't spiking. Probably will decay and drop 5mm or less here, which is fairly typical of these cloudy day fronts.

Agree. More wind than rain. Nothing in it.

Thunder, lightning and strong winds here, but next to no rain. Once again looks like all the action is heading south.

This is just the first part of about a dozen this week. I'm thinking about 10-20mm here in FC. Might get lucky and crack 25mm, but tending to think not. The second part overnight should nudge us comfortably over 25mm.

Was sitting around rain rate of 70mm/h for a while. Sparks and Booms, 15mm in no time. I see that cell has dropped 22mm on Heathcote so far.
