Yeah, a nice line showing on the radar from Castlemaine down to Woodend.

The gut says it will stay to the north and the seabreeze will wash it out down this way.

The heart says 'oh please come this way :)'

A nice rain curtain developing to the west now and thunder is rumbling away.

thunderstorm warning out just now...........

Ill have some.. the pump couldn't suck the mud out of the bottom of my tanks.

No hail if I get a choice plz..

Doppler shows what the southerly is about to do, going to enhance storms to the NW of Melb and leave all the junk down this way.

And doppler also showing a nice wind signature on that storm SW of kyneton. :o

Wish I knew Rikki, but the BOM radar has'nt updated for around 30 mins on my computer, bad timing is an understatment. :roll:

SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING - MELBOURNE AREA
for DAMAGING WIND, FLASH FLOODING and LARGE HAILSTONES

For people in parts of the
Northern and
Western Local Warning Areas.

Issued at 3:10 pm Thursday, 16 February 2012.

The Bureau of Meteorology warns that, at 2:50 pm, severe thunderstorms were detected on weather radar near Woodend and the area west of Woodend.

These thunderstorms are moving towards the southeast.

They are forecast to affect Gisborne, Sunbury and the area west of Sunbury by 3:20 pm and Craigieburn, Melbourne Airport and Sydenham by 3:50 pm.

funny I thought the airport was counted as the Central Warning area myself.. no wonder I didn't get this automatically

Looked outside saw towers, look at radar, nice...maybe intensifying as well

Wow, the air is still and heavy, the updrafts crisp and moving very slow. I like me a storm but I have some bad feelings about this development at the moment :o

Seabreeze has kicked in here since about an hour ago, radar having a meltdown with only the WZ Vic radar showing any updates?
