Have to mention the awesome moonrise we had about an hour ago. It rose from dead east and was a firey yellow orange as it came up through clouds. Normally can't see the horizons from here but because it rose from directly east and my road runs west/east you could see it.
21C here now and 65% humidity. Expect to wake up to a Cairns like morning tomorrow, or at least a Brisbane like one.
Could even be a rumble and a quick downpour in isolated locations if we are lucky.

EC going a bit stupid with rainfall totals. 16mm for Woodend, 11mm for Sunbury, 7mm here, 20mm+ for Bendigo and 30-50mm through eastern suburbs of Melbourne.
GFS on the other hand is going for 50-75mm widespread through central areas and LAPS has around 20-30mm for here. Not sure where EC is coming up with these ridiculously isolated totals since it is a global model and not like MLAPS or LAPS that shows finer detail.

Andrew Gfs also goes from 75 down to 25 somewhere to our west, so I geuss EC just has it's cut off point for the heavier stuff less west than Gfs...take it with a grain of salt, you will get plenty like us.

Can see sizeable convection already along the ranges to the north and west if here.
Should go low 30s today.
