Clocked 12mm with this 1st system was hopeing for more but the main peak of rain/storms was over North Central Victoria.

7mm so far and still raining solidly. Gee it's nice to see. Hope the upcoming cold change produces some for here but I don't trust models anymore than I understand them.

8mm here today, the mist is dropping now and getting quite foggy in parts, especially down Black Springs Rd near the creek, just got back from a nice long walk. Cooler temps now also.

Looks like a chance for some thunderstorms on Friday afternoon, not sure if they will develop in the Eastern Burbs though?

I'm looking forward to the next few days, it's been a really old fashioned misty Melbourne day. You can just make out the leading tip of the NW'ly air flow approaching Melbourne on the doppler. It's beginning.

Another 12mm rain this afternoon total 25mm. Has all been nice steady rain with a few heavy showers.Rain has been fairly solid the last hour radar still looks good .

Rain lull here for past 2 hrs, radar shows an "eye" over this area - typical.

Surrounded by rain though, so should pick up another 2-5mm overnight I hope. That solid rain in the early evening added another 7mm to the 5.5mm event total I emptied out at 5pm so definitely cant whinge.

I can't believe how much rain we've had. After receiving 41.4mm during late Tuesday night and early Wednesday morning, and then another 42.0mm during the day, my event total comes to 83.4mm. I never expected to get so much as most models were forecasting 25-40mm, and yet another 40-50mm is forecast for tomorrow, so could be one of the wettest weeks in a while.
