Very windy out there. Managed to get about 15km down the road to grab a few shots. Missed the money shot whilst setting up, didnt have the exposure or F/stop set properly. Blew it out and ultra fuzzy. :S

Also forgot my tripod mount, so these are taken on the roof of the ute. But you get the idea anyways...

Hi everyone. Long time no speak. Hope everyone is well.

Finally a few nice rumbles coming through here. Not much rain here yet though.
I recently joined the SES Croydon Unit. Yay!!
Unfortuantely I am still on probation for another month so cannot go out on call yet, but safe to say my training was cut short tonight as the calls started coming through.
I am sure I have a lot to look forward to. LOL

Johnno MUST have cracked his 1mm he predicted by now, been 3 red cells go over west side of the CBD so far!

Just got back from a mini-chase around the local area to find vantage points, but most of the action was too far away or infrequent. I did see one ripper crawler about 15 minutes ago that went from SW to NE and almost horizon to horizon.

Yes, big long rumble here too, enough to shake the house! Twice!

Steady rain has started up again.

Saw some real nice CC's on the way back from "training" tonight - training actually turned into a job repairing a fascia on a block of flats that had come loose in the wind and was not far off falling.

There's another loooong rumble, closer that time.

Pretty impressive, considering how scrappy and dry it was this afternoon, with all the light rain and virga around. What a contrast!

I'm hearing heaps of long loud low rumbles and they sound really weird. I can't see any lightning and I have absolutely NO idea where it's coming from.
