Nice small cell with a black core just off the coast, heading towards my area.

10/8.4 here. Dead calm here, moderate rain.

Went outside before, noticed a few flashes to the south every few minutes or so. All CC's, no CG's.

Just heard some thunder here whilst brushing my teeth!

The heavy shower we had here at around 9.15 was amazingly intense, estimate an easy 10mm fell in a very short space of time! Water was pooling everywhere in our front yard, with some small hail mixed in with it. Not sure what we're sitting on totals wise in this area-no local rainfall stations nearby.

We really are in a purple patch for weather at the moment!

Ordinary days weather here compared to most of you it seems, 5mm total for the day via a few boring showers. No thunder or hail. :cussing:
Oh well, at least we will see some nice warm sunny conditions over xmas.

Excellent captures wolfcat! That line that has been crossing the bay into the Moorabbin Ap area has been really lightening active for an hour now with house rumbling thunder felt all the way up here!
10mm since late afternoon here.

Still significant thundery rain falling throughout east of Melbourne. Fanning out NW towards the AP at the moment!!!

Convegence likely to remain in place for the coming few hours. Scoresby and Viewbank of 32mm officially but falls away from AWS areas hitting 50mm+.

Has been steady rainfall here for the last few hours but my area missed the main storm and hail event by a mere 3 kilometres.

Kilmore total for 2010 (double that of last year's YTD)
1075.2mm
193 day(s)

total to this day 2009
512.0mm
161 day(s)

Here in Moorabbin there's been about 300mm more this year than last year. What a great year for rainfall! Would be great if the water storage levels get above 60% in the coming weeks.
