Was hoping things would go a bit more SE but it's all falling apart now, might see the odd flash and rumble down this way unless things pickup going over the bay

Torrential rain here and plenty of thunder. Not too much in the way of wind though and we look to be pretty safe from hail the way it is panning out atm.

EDIT: Rain has eased off but a couple of high quality flangs in the last few minutes.

Just got back from Mt Tarrengower....
This was looking over towards Maryborough way when Rhino posted his post....
Image

And a Pan to show the line as it stretched North to south
Image

All this time the wind was screaming in from the east with cloud bases only 50meters above my head, needless to say i got a bit moist up there. THen just after i took this photo the wind completely stopped.
Image

Was eerie as hell, after spending an hour in 70-80kph winds for it to just stop. That when I decided to leave.

Radar is showing some nice cells north and west of bendigo now. Few rumbles in it. I'll be taking pics from the front yard tonight if any lightning does decide to show it self from all the low level junk that is flying around.

I'm yet to see a cg tonight.....

Edit: Just started raining here. Big fat drops. some very small hail inbedded on the leading edge...

Hmmmm... for the twentieth time this year, storm cell splits in two on our doorstep... Some big drops of rain atm, but lightning has died.

Lightning may have died, but man it's been bucketing down here for a good 10-15mins now.

On Second Thoughts it sounded like a Sonic Boom and then a rumble after... Might sound stupid but just sounded very weird.
