Today's storm will be different. We have a front approaching which should hold out the sea breeze for longer. Also more humid today.
That said, the storms are pretty isolated so will be hit and miss.

We've been watching that one north of Lilydale brewing up for the last hour, and it has just let out its first rumble. Seems to be edging ever so slowly this way!

Those thunderstorms near Warragul and north of there are very severe. Large hail for sure in those, not the mention the rest of the phenomena.
While activity will ease later I wouldn't rule out storms going on and off overnight, with the elevated moisture, instability and trough remaining to our west.

Some rumbles from that cell north of here around North Warrandyte. Slowly edging its way SW by the looks.

The cells out east are rare and massive. Would be scary to be under one, tornadoes must be possible in those supercell beasts

Got constant rumbles here from the cell in the northeastern burbs. Slowing edging in, but entering the radar hole (the spot due east of the city). Those storms our east are huge must be very nasty.

Parents are reportedly getting hammered at home with heavy rainfall, near Port Campbell. Constant lightning and thunder they tell me, second day in the row for them.
Hopefully those cells to the east of city can maintain their S-SW trajectory and make it here to Brighton way. Was a couple of spits before.

I would love to know why the storms are dissipating when I get close to the bay
