Early August 2011 was hotter, although this current spell looks to be longer.
Crops are barely hanging on in Northern Vic and may fail if they don't get rain soon.

How’s the pasture up there Strato? We had fodder shortages down here with last years drought. Wasn’t pretty.
Might get some rain later next week for croppers, but system looks complex so not so sure. NSW and QLD having a good season, and TAS mixed bag, but geez WA, SA and VIC are looking ordinary atm.
