Vic: Windy with showers. Last week of May/Start to June

Have done alright here, 8.7mm today. 9.8C max, which is probably around the the average for June so a reasonably cool one.

Certainly cold air ahead, but also very dry, so it all comes down to how southerly the airstream can go between now and tomorrow morning as to whether we can get snow on the central ranges or not. BOM guidance suggests 600m which is down to the Mt Macedon village. If we get showers here overnight (at 520m) there will probably be snow flurries.

GFS has backed off on Thursday's system. It will be interesting to see what EC shows in the next update as it was going for about 5-10cm of snow up high on Mount Macedon in recent updates. Obviously the cold uppers/high moisture levels combo lead to really low max temps in the wake of a persistent cold outbreak.

Wind change through here with that heavy band of showers. Picked up a quick 5mm. Temperature is now down to 5C with fog and spitty rain.

No power - that's bad on a cold day. I remember years ago it snowed quite heavily and we had no power for two days. Shell my sis isn't much of a photographer but hoping for a few pics

Little wet sleet here. Still a bit warm, dipped to 3.7C with the heaviest of the rain/sleet. On 11mm or so for the change and still coming down.

EDIT.. Just got some wet flurries with a heavy burst. Coldest air still a way off.. Hopefully the precip hangs around till it gets here.

How far off? Worth staying up to hopefully see heavy hail (aka frozen snow) showers? 2 weeks ago was awesome here in the lower suburbs - sadly our winters are crap compared to the nearby hills and winter hail is the best we can hope for.

Yeah. I believe it said it would be 10 today for here, 8 tomorrow and 9 on Wednesday. Doubt it.

Btw, hail shower just passed here 5 mins ago. Sharp burst ands very very soft hail.

Unfortunately it does look like flow is too southerly for now to get decent showers here. This could be a problem for mount dandenong too in regards to getting snow.

Gone too southerly for us with the cold air been between 2 and 3C since late last night but no showers since about midnight. Means it will be snowing around Kinglake currently.

So far, can only count as a sleet day. Didn't hear or see any graupel, hail or proper snow.
