Feels a little too windy for my liking today through Central Vic. Everything that does get up looks to be be fast moving and shortlived, best heavy rainfall potential will be from the exhaust of todays thunderstorms in NW VIC flattening out into rain areas overnight.

But as I say this, some interesting showers/storms moving down through the Northern Vic currently...

It's absolutely pouring now! On a side note, where are these "up to 200mm" totals going to be coming from? Cant see anywhere near that much now...

Raining in Sunshine, coming down hard but thin drops.
Radar looks good but I don't see much lightning in it.

The trough will deepen and western vic.. Its coming mate.

Looks like these anticipated storms in the west are going to fire a lot later then last few days.

It's kicked off here with light rain, quite gusty outside and still very humid. Temp back to 25c now but humidity is rising rapidly.

They are later today due to the cloud cover that was over western Victoria this morning. This hampered heating efforts but since it is now cleared mostly or clearing, things will go off this afternoon. Next hour or so, trust me mate.

Interesting ... BoM issued storm warning for all over the Wimmera, Mallee and Southwest. They are anticipating widespread development of severe thunderstorms.

Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce damaging winds, very heavy rainfall, flash flooding and large hailstones in the warning area developing over the next several hours. Locations which may be affected include Horsham, Mildura, Swan Hill, Hamilton, Warrnambool and Portland.

Western Victoria is going to light like a christmas tree very soon!!

Completely got it wrong and gladly so. It looks to be a nice rainy period coming down now. I guess the keen interest is the stuff that follows later. If we get sunshine after this, it will be explosive!

Adelaide radar is telling us where the 100-200mm falls could come from!

Watch out for destructive winds in the west this afternoon too.

Still waiting for the rain to start, looked at the veg garden this morning and told it could wait for a watering.
