BTW- When do they ever issue a Road wether alert? Lived in Adelaide for a while and they used to issue them all the time- they never do here. Wouldve thought this morning it was warranted!

You're right Jane, baro is rising. I know it usually does after a front but I thought it would continue to drop as this low approaches. The mixed rain and hail is turning into more hail than rain as the temp keeps dropping, and here come the wind.

Doppler looks great at the moment, really showing up the wind change well. Been very nice steady rain for most the night here. Have'nt checked the gauge yet but i'd guesstimate 17mm. Another 5mm today possible here, central and eastern areas should do very nicely today.

P.S. Just checked my gauge and have had 18mm so not a bad guess. 51mm for the week so far.

Love the view of the Australian composite radar, and the rainfall totals stretching from the Centre, through Queensland all the way down to the Prom. Fantastic fall this one for such a huge area. And it has only just started for here. Love it!

5mm when I left home at 0730, but encountered a ripping, squally band at Box Hill. Scud was flying in from the NE at 70kmh and the wind was roaring from the South!!

Arrived intact in CBD and have a brilliant view of whiteout conditions on the 15th floor .

7.4mm, max rain rate only 11.8mm/hr @ 3.36am, Pressure 993.8 Hpa. Dropped 3C to 11.8C and wind's picked up in the last hour.

Just found 15mm in the gauge here but still raining ok here. Looks like there is a little more to come with it looks like a pretty decent shower racing down from the NNW heading our way.

17.6mm upto 9am and 0.6mm since with 17mm earlier in the week where well and truley past monthly average go my eyes ofn the 100mm . Currently rain steadily and the S/SW winds are starting to blow.
