Convection exploded here with the passage of the sea breeze front but it has become very messy now. I'm a bit confused as to why the storms atm are developing a fair way back from the frontal line and W/E passage rather than S/N with the direction of movement of the southerlies.

Wind through the mids is coming out of the due west, seabreeze is only shallow so most convection is happening above it.

Now we have convection almost overhead from the Yan Yean complex, despite a light seabreeze its still trying to push Southwards.

looking like a multi cell system developing just south of here (Lal Lal through to Napoleons is the boundary by the looks), lots of large Cu around too, paddle pool is out as it is a steamy 31. Intermediate rumbles around too. Only early days, things can get better yet

Looking out towards Noojee. The Tower has grown. It is massive now. Heat Haze has gone which gives us a clear area over to the east too.Light Seabreeze here.

Here we go, big tower with pileus just about overhead to my NW, will go straight through Coldstream, should dump in the next 10 minutes, definitely trying to pull south.

It looks like it's getting going closer to here now judging by radar, even though it doesn't really look all that much from out the window.

Haha would you think the end of the cragieburn line ? Going by the radar the line to the NW is developing on the south side, maybe it will keep its intensity? Convention to the east, can't see above the base of clouds to the west but it's actually really dark. Clear sky to the south!

It is looking very interesting out my way, northeastern Ivanhoe East/Eaglemont. It is just inside the sea breeze convergence aka Storm Forcefield. :P

Looking a bit more impressive out there now. Thunder rumbling away and a bit of spitting rain. It's still very messy on radar though.

Seabreeze really starting to weaken now, and convection is still trying to pull south. Can see some convection under the anvil thats spreading se from the ranges from the Gisborne area. Could yet see something through Melbournes suburbs through the outskirts if it can just get one through..

Went for a bit of a look at the cell that passed south of Sale - there was a nice tower building but then it fell apart. Saw a few distant CGs. Sky to the North is dark and ominous.

Pano of the towers to the north of here 25 mins ago. Looks like the width of the image messes up the page unless I view full screen, will have to upload to server

Towers going up everywhere, and getting a bit organised now to my Northwest, but very high cloud bases though. Not surprising given a DP of 8.5 degC. But what is interesting is that at Echuca the DP is 15 degC!

Very active directly overhead now with strong towers going up. As Anthony pointed out, the seabreeze front appears to be gradually retreating south again and I would say i am right on it atm. Heaps of thunder happening, almost constant at times.
