With you there. It is very dry conditions outside at the moment even in the eastern suburbs - definitely not what you would associate as a precurser to a stormy evening.
Very dry, strong, warm northerly wind out there at the moment. No feel of moisture to the air at all. I think all we'll see this evening is a light dusty rainband, a couple of mm if anything. just enough to dull up the duco on my nice new shiny red car
Starting to thicken up on the SW area of the band at the moment. Should see that increase as the day progresses. Not sure about the area above the ranges. Hopefully we get something, but im not sure.
I live in a world where I dont see to believe, but I believe to see...
Good news for storm watchers
In Adelaide the relative humidity has climbed from 15% at at 10.30 am to 64% at 12.30pm.
this occurred after the wind change to W/NW
You would think that indicates a nice cool moist air mass on the western flank of this low pressure area.
If the moisture is behind the wind change dont expect any storms at best case scenario they be high based if we get any at all.
Could get a rumble with the coldies Tomorrow but don't expect much out of that either.
27.9c in the CBD so far but has slipped back to 26.3c in full sun, it may touch a low to mid 28c Today at best but can't see it going beyond that.. 28c was my best bet earlier this morning for the CBD, Cloud will start to move in the next 2 hours or so.
Winds have really ramped up here in Dunolly. Some very strong gusts . Horsham max gust of 85km/hr
A lot of haze and some small cumulus. The centre of trough just over us at 998 hpascals
Humidity down to 18% with these warm dry northwesterlies atm
Hold on to your hats..
All the sheep have decided to lie down. Otherwise they would get blown over .LOL

No kidding! Wind has just gone nuts in past few minutes. Days like today in summer are what I dread. Might even be a bit of a dust storm this afternoon. Our farmers don't need this weather atm!
Sorry guys and girls, I'm with the bureau on this one. They can see something more than we can. We were saying on saturday that nothing would develop and there was storms, although in bass strait. Their forecast was for isolated storms and that's what we (victoria) got. I think the same goes for today. There will be rain and storms, although where and how severe is a different matter.
Some cloud is coming over from the NW so that will stop the temp from going any higher. Sounds like summer out there ATM, with sacayters and flys buzzing about. The trough I'd say is virga because nothing really has been recorded In western Vic, but the cold front looks better
