Ok game on here now. I was not convinced after a walk with the dog, quite a decent s/w breeze and feels like the humidity has dropped alot too. Lets hope there is no (or not too much) damage to stuff in the comming hours.....

Spitting out here in Lilydale...

Some magnificent looking towers and greenage to the NW and N. Should extend further west over the coming hour and cover Melbourne's east too.s

I encourage all our guests to join!!! Let us know what is happening in your part of Melbourne and VIC. An exciting system and we document them well here so get involved and join!! Won't take long!!!

Pity it's not night because some of these lightning strikes are rather intense.

It has gone very still in the Ivanhoe/Greensborough/Viewbank area.

I really wish it would get dark so we can watch the light show.

Exciting....more thunder now...hooking back to Lilydale it looks like. That line down at Colac is hectic, they will get swamped!

Lightning then thunder almost instantly after just then. Not liking the look of that line on radar, not penetrating through to the coast. Similar set up at yan yean, north of viewbank, hopefully it can push through so the nth/ nth east suburbs can get a decent drink as well. wonder how they are travelling at future music festival about now.

AV, I'm not far away from you, and starting to hear the rumbles now. Croydon North always seems to be what I call a "dead zone" - the storms always seem to swing above us and out towards Yarra Glen, or below us and over to the Dandenongs. Do you think we may actually get some action this evening? Here's hoping!!! :D

Looks like this first lot of storms is tracking a bit west, northern and western subs will do best, once again we look to miss out on the best of it down here. :x

is it just me, or is the radar doing its normal trick of only seeing the very front line of the system? Or is it really just that narrow?
