Almost 9mm in the gauge. It's looking likely that the February average will be exceeded here, possibly by a reasonable amount and probably 9 rain days by the end of the month (currently sitting on 6) which would be also two or three above average. The longest dry spell this month has been 10 days for here so really not that bad a month rainfall wise if the system for the next few days does what it's supposed to.

Geoff, your sprinklers worked!! Lovely cell tracking right along the Dandenongs from north to south, we are just catching the easterly edge here in Croydy Sty nice drop of rain, but of thunder and gorgeous tropical rain smell wafting through the house :-)

Yes it does look like last week. All that red and yellow is going west of the Dandenongs and the stuff above us keeps going to white. We can hear the thunder but haven't got a drop yet.

Drives you mad doesn't it Robyn? If you threw a boomerang to the north it would come back wet!

Sorry yes that was meant to be westerly edge for me, not easterly! It did look like you were going to cop it up there on the mountain but must have just slid along the bottom ..hopefully there's more on the way to give your gardens a good drink! :-)

Only recorded 3 drops (or was it 4) here in Camberwell East - the precipitation totally by-passed us. Have fun out East - looks more promising!

Ha! That's funny, with all the rain/cyclones around the country WZ says the wettest place in Australia in the last hour is.............Scoresby with 18.8mm!
We finally got 1.2mm and maybe a dribble more to come, but desperately hoping for a decent drop tomorrow into Wednesday.
