Looks to be building from the west again now with some heavy showers indicated on radar.
Could get a few more rumbles as well - not long till it hits most of greater Melbourne.

I was just able to mention the incoming line of showers Dane but you beat me too it, lol all good mate :D

Yeah it looks like a few local, sporadic bursts of thunder and lightning could pop up as it comes through, some of the showers currently sweeping over the Southwest region look equally as intense, I take it that's the cold air moving into Victoria's southwest now and this is the cold front itself arriving here in Melbourne? :)

12.7mm so far, I'm expecting about another 5-10mm between now and 9AM, quite windy atm and only 12C outside

Down to just 11C here now after being 22C at 4:40am :o

BTW Sydney fell just short of its September record high today - missed by just over 1C. Pretty much sums this event up - lots of misses on records by 1C across QLD, NT, WA, SA and Vic. Certainly a remarkable heat event for its duration and extent.
21.1mm at my end, peak rainfall rate was 16.8mm/hr, and now sitting on 10.5C... the rain sure was heavy at times, what a day it's been! To finish it all off, one huge double rainbow and a sunset with mammatus on the backside of the cold front! :D

Now, onto tomorrow's cold outbreak!! :D

Well there's a lovely surprise, I come home to 11 mm in the gauge. Not bad at all.

G'day

I spoke too soon earlier, bout an hour after I posted it started out of nothing. We ended up with 4mm here, better than nothing I guess.

Cheers

21 mm in the gauge since the rain began this morning - much heavier & more persistent than I expected.

10.3mm today. Showers continuing and squally at times. September looking a bit more respectable rain wise now although still only around 46mm with the average around 88mm.
