Another 27mm overnight for me gives me a total of 77mm for yesterday!
Now have 116mm for April so far, a real turnaround from the dry first half of the month.

86.3mm for the event, 72mm coming since 9am.
Low really cranking now over Gippsland, expect heavy falls there today.
Lots of showers still around for the remainder of today.

Blimey! I'm having trouble keeping a tally of all this. Another 10mm so far today, on top of 77mm yesterday, and 7mm on Monday = 94mm so far for the event. Come this far, we may as well crack the century now, though radar looks as if the worst is over now. Could do it with a drizzly/showery night and a shower or 2 tomorrow.

That's amazing isn't it Geoff. You are my rain gauge, I know we are similar this time. It just hasn't stopped raining and Kens in sunny, humid Thailand. He always seems to be away when there is "weather"

Yes Robyn, it'd be nice if he brought some sunshine back with him though, you can have too much of a good thing! Too much rain now will ruin the autumn colours just as they're about to peak.

Rainy and cold and misty up on the mount today, the wet weather has brought down a lot of the autumnal foliage already. A 7.9C max for me today.

Ended up with 13mm here for the event which is'nt bad but still waiting for that real wet system that delivers 50+mm for here and the grain growing areas. Been a great setup system in the catchment areas for the rainfall to come over the coming weeks/months around the central and gippsland districts, inflows will get a real bump up from now. Amazing how the system just kept streaming heavy showers and rain off the bay, great to watch on radar.

Wow over 100mm for us up here. Geoff you're right about the autumn foliage. I've just seen our Japanese Stewartia tree degenerate. It was coming up to optimal autumn colouring, now a lot of the leaves have gone and it's a bedraggled mess.

Scored 169mm for the event and another 2mm since 9am. Just an absolute corker of an event, we had the peak of every rain/shower/storm/drizzle band you could think of. Amazingly wet and cold out there now. It is going to take a long while to dry out.
I think there could be some further river flooding if rainfall returns next week with signs of another thundery cold low.
But the best of it was Tuesday 6-7pm. Near 40mm in an hour!! Flash flooding everywhere! Amazing what a warm bay does.

Well that's just being bloody greedy Karl that's what that is. You sure you did'nt mistake your rain gauge for the toilet one night Karl
.
Nah, that's some nice rainfall mate, no wonder there were reports of flash flooding and certainly in the sweet spot there.
