@weatherviewer - that was the trough that changed the wind to a southerly, main cold front is around 3am in Melbourne.

Might get enough to water the garden tonight - then it looks grim on the rain front. Interesting times early next week, Monday looks like hottest day of summer so far. GFS has modelled a dangerous fire day on the Tuesday but it needs a few more runs to be taken seriously.

Pretty standard summers day here with a max of 31C. Minimal wind, quite cloudy and humid so not too bad (though garden has dried out a fair bit the last two days).

Rainband is looking raggered now. Would be good to get a few mms, but that might be optimistic. ACCESS still wants to give us about 5 to 10mm, but EC and GFS not much interested (maybe a couple of mms).

Shame this system... great tropical infeed but again just not quite happening for Vic. That's been the story over and over this summer (which multiple systems strangely peaking over SA).

It's HAARP I tells ya.

They're selecting areas and seeing what happens.

Almost 6mm here, mostly from drizzle. Happy with that... freshens everything up after couple of hot ones. Most areas missed out in central and eastern areas with the rainband fading... as models broadly suggested.

Might squeeze out a bit more yet with a band of showers currently to our south.

Week ahead looks pretty boring. Weak troughs and mostly onshore flow. Maybe hot on Monday next week.

Hope your joking Stevco ;)

Just as a side note, we had 136mm in the Nylex on our return, no wonder the lawn is still green! That covers the period 21 Dec - 22 Jan.
