Morning everyone and here it is, the anticipated 29th of December, 2016. The date most of us on this forum have been interested in throughout the past week and today is looking great!
I know severe storms are likely in Central areas, but what is the chance of a supercell in Melbourne?
A sunny humid 27 degrees down here on the island. Hopefully the sun stays out a bit longer to increase our storm chances down here later today.
Can see development already taking place on the radar so it's going to go off by the looks of it. Have a prime viewing position down here, so have the camera phone ready, laptop & iPad charged up, and car ready if needed.
Caroline Springs, Melbourne's meteorological boredom zone.
My other half is currently back in Deer Park looking after her parents. She might have her hands full with today's potential events as she will have two houses to look after, including the world's wimpiest Jack Russell.

Great we have the heat
Haven't been on here for a while. Last major post was after my chase on Christmas day 2011. What a great day that was, I'm sure there are some here hoping for a similar display.
I'm out chasing north central Vic today, along with a few other chasers I know of. Curious if anyone else from this forum is heading out that way. Getting close to Bendigo currently and the clouds are starting to thin out, hopefully get some good heating in the coming hours.
Well the new BOM severe weather warning seems to have wound it back a bit, no more strong winds and 100mm rainfalls. still hot and humid here, 30 with a DP of 27.5 and AP of 36. Good day to do the gutters and move firewood.
