Feral up here under that cell. Sideways rain and winds at tree top which must have been pushing 100km/hr. Just roaring. Now had 10mm since ~9am here.
Would expect a fair bit of damage with that downburst - just so sudden.

It was a bit lively out there for a few minutes!
The Emergency Vic website tells it's own story....
Scroll down the list and you can see how it travelled across the eastern suburbs knocking down trees as it went.....

Tracking this band from off the coast, this one should pack a punch.

Yep... heard it here. Lots more graupel but no snow/sleet. Best cold outbreak for a couple of months

Blustery day. Not much in the way of decent totals rain-wise. But tiny, pin size hail in the mix made it somewhat interesting.
Looks to be a few BDHs moving in, so I'd better see some warmth and sunshine.
Still waiting for the first thunderstorm of the season. Not so much as a rumble so far, unless I was asleep and missed it.

Today's final tally here was 31mm, making it 65 mm for part 2 and a grand tally of .....113mm for the thread! Wettest 7 day period in Kyneton since Jan 2011. Yearly total now 910 mm ...
We talked about everything on the thread.....Big hits, near misses, moody models, state wide black outs, twisters, hail storms, winds squalls, the infamous rain shadow and who could forget 'Robyn' .....

Yes an amazing period of weather on so many levels. Alpine snow was remarkable today. And did anyone happen to see the stunning mammatas display just before sunset? This taken from my office in Sth Melbourne.

Just on 10mm for the past 24 hours. That makes 60mm for the event, so about half way to our October average. Probably a good chance for 6th above average month in a row with that start (something that hasn't happened for decades...). Shame negative IODs don't happen more often
Thinking a bit of drizzle later today then a steady warming trend for a few days. Expecting the grass to grow about an inch a day in the coming week
Snow looks fantastic on the cams this morning above ~1500m... shame this one didn't happen in August or September for the resorts.
