Constant rolling thunder. We're about to get hit hard.
The Melbourne Storm didn't quite succeed tonight....

Cant help feeling that this may be another bust for the outer SE suburbs of Melbourne.

Lightning has commenced now in the Macedon Ranges.....the first Brontide seismic shudder felt through the foundations, triggering the slow slight rattle of the timber windows.....

Up to 20 mm here and no sign of letting up; getting heavier if anything.
Having got off lightly with the big low, this front may be the one that does the damage locally
. At least the wind has dropped.

Moderately heavy rain here for about 40 minutes. More to our West but less to our NE. Bendigo Airport AWS is not getting anywhere near as much as us.

Didn't get much from the storms, a few rumbles and a bit of lightning.
They appear to have moved east of here and weakened a bit.
Still quite heavy rain though, must be starting to add up.
If this goes on for a while, there will be some more big flood problems

And its still dumping in Charlton 5.4mls in the last half hour.
Which means its still moving this way to some extent.
Would love to check my gauge, but i am not going outside,
will have to wait until morning.

And the forcefield is broken.
It's good solid rain here in Sunshine at last.

If anything the rain is getting heavier.... Tomorrow will be interesting with local creeks and rivers in flood, yet again.

Very solid rain here in the inner north, radar reflectivity definitely true to the rain rate with moderate-large drops. Hoping to see around 15mm here
Large totals piling up in the NW couldn't be good for the flooding situation.
Go the bombersss!

Well that guarantees Lake Eppalock overflowing tomorrow at some point. And probably in a big way. Echuca is going to have fun for quite some time I would think.
Charlton over 30mm now. Crazy.

Having a look at the Himawari 10:50 shot, there looks like the start of another surge near Charlton heading SE

14mm in the gauge, and still raining steadily after some lightning and thunder a few hours ago.

Few flashes and rumbles here around 0200. 20 mm on AWS, too dark to check manual gauge before work lol.

We were smashed just before midnight with 75mm/hr, thankfully only for long enough to add 15mm, leaving us with 22mm since late Sunday afternoon.
