Just been getting dribs & drabs here, just enough to wet the roads.
As a matter of interest the pressure reading on my indoor barometer is 990hPa which seems to be on par with most other areas in Melbourne at present.

Currently stuck in the eye of the storm. Cold too. Unless there's a convergence line that pops up, that might be it until Sunday. Talking of which, EC has upgraded that to dump over 40mm here. Gulp.

Incidentally, wettest Sept on record in Bendigo. Eppalock now 92% - up over 4% in 24 hrs.

40mm so far now for me. 211 mm for the month. 35 to 75 mm across the ranges now for this one. That old Canadian model CMC was the closest estimate on the last run before it hit for up here on Wed. River flood warnings on the north side of divide. Some more lighter stuff today I'd say as well. Sunday night , Monday becoming very interesting now....nowhere left for water up in the ranges.

My position unchanged, part A has happened. Time to start analysing that North West Cloud band ''Batman'

Deluged by 2mm here last night :hysteria: . Not really complaining, we've had nearly 170mm for September so another bumper month without causing any problems.

The surface and upper low are both moving through now, so will soon see the direction of showers change to west then soutwest. This will increase showers here. Thinking we should see 20mm or so before it clear later on Saturday.

More heavy falls in the north.. lots of rivers now in minor or moderate flood (or nearly so).

SA looks nasty. The $$$ cost will be huge. So many different types of damage across the whole state :o

More rain here overnight. This is the 2nd wettest month ive experienced at Mt Macedon. We have had 222mm so far.

The volcanic soil here just takes it all in, i can walk across my lawns without any squishiness at all and there arent any puddles or boggy spots.
When im at work at Bolobek the lawns are seething water and you go in up to your ankles and there is water running everywhere and all that on 170mm.

2C and clear and sparkly here this morning.

Rainfall focus turned to the South East of Tasmania overnight with Interlaken 96 mm, Nugent 86 mm, Tooms Lake 79 mm, Mt Wellington 72 mm, Grove 67 mm, Triabunna 63 mm, Friendly Beach 46 mm, Hobart 35.2 mm. Here in Grindelwald 15 km north on Launceston we had 43.8 mm for a September total of 90 mm. This brings my year to date total to 1008 mm which means I'm set to beat my annual record of 1107 mm in 2013.

All I can say is thank goodness we don't get much rain from the north, we still managed to "scrape" 140mm for September.
So much rain either splits and goes around us or dies out on our doorstep, we'd surely make over 200mm if it didn't. :)

5.5mm to 9am brings as to 30.5mm for the event, and 165mm for September. Easily the wettest September in our 20 years here, and our fourth wettest of any month. (The way the drenching drizzle is falling out there, If I'd waited half an hour it would've got knocked off August 2010's 166mm and got the bronze :))

Thinking we've got off lightly (so far) given the wind and rain that some models and forecasts were predicting, and the overall 'look' of this system.

Compared to many a "drought" here, only 82mm for September. :D

Melbourne Water site about 2 km north only 75.6 mm for the month.

Never thought I'd be saying this, but we got the same September rainfall as Geoff, exactly 140mm! Rained some more late last night and finished on 17mm for the 24 hours to 9am. That's only about 9mm off the all time September monthly record here (set in 1993).

3.9mm's in the 24 hours to 9am, giving me a system total of just 5.2mm's
Was really on the light end of things here all month and just manged to
squeeze over the monthly average with 76.7mm's (ave 72.2mm's)
Daytime temps were a little below average, but night time temps
were well above average for September.
Bring on October.

You've reminded me about temps Dane - only a degree or so below the September average maximum here but it's felt much colder with very little sunshine, and not a single genuinely 'warm' spring day - we've come nowhere near 20 C yet. It'll be interesting to see how late Ballarat, being the closest official station, cracks it's first 20 C for spring - no earlier than 6 October at this stage I reckon and possibly later.

Same way I'd describe walking around the land in Mansfield. We had another 22 mm overnight on top of 30 mm yesterday bring month total 140mm for the area.

Heaps of run off into lake Eildon this morning. Should see a lake rise of 3 % + this week currently at 65%.

24mm all up ... and pressure coming up slowly to 993 as I type.
Everything well and truly wet, grass is squelching when I walk ... so with some warming next week the grass will grow well :)
