4C here as well and concrete as far as I can see.
Another freezing morning of walking my son through the concrete jungle to school here in the boredom zone (where it certainly doesn't storm or snow).

Yay! Just seen two flakes drift past the window!
Looks like the bay is killing it all as it crosses.

A couple of photos from Ferny Creek overnight. Snowed on and off for about 90 minutes. At am 3am was nearly a cm deep. Dipped to 0.4C here which is our coldest temperature since August 2008. Sadly, models were right that temps would be right but the precip would be missing away from the coast.
Still snow lying on the car, trampoline, wood surface but only a bit.

More pics to come - snowing again & still 0 C. 4 cm plus at our place, best fall for several years. The country is covered for miles around so settled to at least 400 m.

The outdoor table:
First time our Jack Russell cross has seen heavy snow - she's into it! (for a while - by the fire now.)
This one shows how dry & sticky the snow is:
A view west of Gordon - snow as far as you can see:
The view south-west from our place.
Just a nice snowscape - you can see how the snow piled up against fences etc.

Looks lovely Gordon, its nice that this system delivered across a wide area. I was a big doubting thomas, i thought it was going to be dry like august 2005 but i was wrong eh!
Has been pelting down here for the last hour.
Works off today! I just called one of the guys at work and he said there was a light cover on solid objects. Thats 450m

Nice Macedonian! Yes I was also bit concerned about moisture, but this has turned into a really solid, widespread event.
It would be interesting to know what percentage of Vic had a genuine cover of settled snow at 8 am this morning!

There was a solid dusting here at 8am (520 m asl). Not much but enough to turn most of the ground white. It's good to see it can still snow here. We only get settled snow about every 5 years here these days and we haven't had a substantial fall since 1995.
