Ballarat has missed out! :( only 12mm and we seem to be in the eye of the low now (awesome structure on the cells to the south and east mind you!) and it is going to die on night fall and turn to drizzle and fog.

Similar here, just 15 mm so far in total. Being circled by giant storms as little as 10 km away.

Not sure I'd like to be right under one, but a bit of edge action would be nice!

And it looks like you're right. It's dying right now and looking likely turning to drizzle and fog.

Cells have gone up here with the sun going down :?: Good anvil visible just west of here, and more lumps building. GFS has rain developing in Melbourne between now and mid-night in the NW/WNW flow ahead of the trough. EC has no interest. GFS seems to be the better guidance at this point.

As has been mentioned, still very unstable. Nice little cell has formed just outside near us over the bay to our NW. Moving slowly SE so hopefully another thundery shower to come. Will remain unstable overnight so further risk of showers and storms.

Getting reports from near Cobden in SW parts of the state of an awesome lightning show with heavy rain. Will be interesting to see totals out that way tomorrow.

End result 34mm here today, and a total of 45.2mm for the month so far. Pretty amazing for this side of town, the crickets are in full chorus tonight.

Just needs a bit of solar heating today and off they'll go stevco.
Radar should start filling in as the morning progresses.
33mm here for us so far, mostly from a couple of the biggest storms yesterday, nice and moist out there now, and water tank is full again. :D

Nothing more O/N in FC but looks like a wet day ahead. Started the day with sun, then fog, and now drizzle. Thinking 5-10mm is a chance.

Radar will be missing the light low level precip.

18.5mm's in the 24 hours to 9am this morning making 31.1mm's in the last 48 hours my highest 2 day fall since late August and the 2nd highest this year.
Overcast and cool here but no rain since 9am.

Going by our closest AWS, we've had 34mm for this event, including since 9am this morning. It's chucking down drizzly stuff at the moment so a few more mm's looking likely, especially looking at the latest radar - drizzle filling in bayside regions.

Parents in the southwest near Port Campbell missed out on most of this event, only registering 8mm roughly in total, so the dry continues down there for now. I said they'd get around 25mm ... just a tad wrong :? Hopefully they can get some rainfall sooner rather than later; I was down there last week due to a death in the family, and it's just way drier than I thought. Usually it's bad north of the Princess Highway, but this year it's extended down right near the coast.

Near constant light drizzle today, not showing on radar. I have not checked the Nylex to see what we have had but expect it not to be much. Footpath slick, on way home from nursing home had slip and fall, bounced okay. :D

Soaking drizzle and fog here today. Didn't let up, and was heavy at times (peak drizzle rate of 20mm/hr). 14mm more and still falling.

Super thick fog. Here's a photo from this evening. Vis at (about) 30m. Fog is always thick when the DPs are high and today we've mostly say between 12 and 15C DPs.

Looks likes the drizzle won't clear until noon tomorrow. MTD (event) now on ~70mm :D :D :D
