Let's do this. Now what we need is for the sun to come out, and then round 3 to smash us.
Bring it on

Bit of a life saver this system really, in terms of actual rain falling.
Sun out

Defintely roudn three has my interest, however i'm concerned the ranges could get in the way this time.

Had 8mms in about 20mins with that storm that hit here just after 3pm.
Sun shining brightly now.
Good chance of further storms later - bring them on.

Hope the BOM look silly with the shower or two forecast for tonight
Possibly under the low that's why it may skirt us! Ah well, even if we don't get more today, been a ripper event so far

Yeah same. Hope they're not onto something, but the radar does show the rain unable to push through the ranges slightly.
I think tomorrow morning is a better chance when they change direction from the southwesterly

Do you you think those storms have enough energy to push down to Melbourne tonight?

Not sure, I'm actually not massively optimistic, but BOM have a chance of a storm. It'll come down to the positioning of the low in the next few hours

Guess we'll wait and see.
Temperatures are on the rise around Melbourne, can only be a good thing
. Still in the city at work currently, however temps have popped back up to 24c back home.

That convection is creeping closer. The low is close to us now so we're loosing the stearing. Storms will largely need to develop over us.
Winds go west overnight then southwest which will deliver more decent showers for areas in the eastern burbs etc.

The BOM are suggesting these storms are slow moving ones so timing is what matters with these current ones in the north atm.

I think hillybilly is right on this one.
Unless something develops over us then we won't get anything because those in the north will dissipate when night falls

Have had over 30mm's in the last 24 hours.
Storms currently to the west and NW are almost stationary so i doubt Melbourne will get anything further tonight.
