He strolls up to the twister, and he says, *have a drink*. And he chucks the bottle into the twister, and it never hits the ground.

Picked up about 3.6mm so far today here in Wyndham Vale, has been raining lightly for the past 15minutes. Better than nothing.

39mm in the gauge at Flora Hill in Bendigo. Apparently Maiden Gully copped 74mm, and yet the airport AWS only got 24mm.
Could be more on the way looking at the radar towards Birchip.... and the satpic looks insane.

Mum says yesterday 6mm and today 1mm for Horsham.
Im sure you will hear about it if they get anymore..
I recall 2007 and maybe it was their last substantial rain event, rain causes havoc if it comes down too fast in the dessert..

Forecast models for Tuesday - looks like a major clash of airmasses and a bit of a cyclone over Vic!

I plan to go out tomorrow around 8, perhaps it will rain then.
No rot warnings yet, no sheep warnings, some rain in Bendigo I see, best news coould do was Todd River flowing for first time since....april last year.
Its the new WS, I told you nothing would happen when I got it. Im like a mini Birchip here.

Starting to rain in Horsham some moderate showers atm, 3mm so far. Seems like a long time since significant rain but we did have a one in 200yr flood in Horsham in Jan 2011, we recorded around 160mm for the month. I would't call The Wimmera a dessert, you don't usually produce much food in a dessert and a lot of grain comes from the Wimmera!!

Did anyone hear Jane Bunn's weather forecast tonight on ch7 melbourne? I thought it was hilarious.
She said "the official forecast is for reason tomorrow but it will most likely stay dry with drizzle possible"
Love her forecasting.she's been the most accurate the whole week

3AW each today - including today - told us the UV index is extreme.
What garbage. It's always extreme in Jan based on full sun, but reality is it was low today under full cloud!
Utter nuffies!

Perhaps that was the forecast for pilots flying at 40000ft....

Radar is interesting, the band of storms/rain seem to be losing some strength, are these storms still pulsy, looks good for something coming from our west shortly to hit Horsham.

Yep, I'll drink to that.
Just tipped out 13mm from my gauge which hasn't been emptied since Wednesday, so happy with that. It's just been.....boring basically. No storms, no heavy soaking rain periods, nothing.
Caroline Springs, Melbourne's meteorological boredom zone.
