We're here about 60km nw of Bendigo. Lots of lightning and thunder. Raining lightly for the last 5 mins. We could be in for a doozy here......

Well, we just got supercell-ed. Trees down everywhere. Fires galore. Hubs is out being a legend with the cfa and I'm here with the kids on my own. Water coming in under doors and through windows but can't see any real damage to the house. The dog run however...... Stuffed. Big eucy snapped like a twig and flattened the fencing. Dogs ok, but now free range! Lucky we live on acerage. ;)

Bad luck WaterBaby, one of the drawbacks of exciting summer weather! :(
Sitting here, waiting patiently, don't want what you've just had though, good steady rain will do for me thanks! :D

Watching the radar and only the radar, right on cue, it is disintegrating as it hits the Metro border!

A few Serious cracks of thunder starting here.

I don't know if it's just me, but we seem to be getting more intense bursts of lightning and more explosive thunder in recent years.

36mm of rain in the guage. I'm sure it didn't catch all of it though. We've got leaf debris blown the entire height of the house and massive tree branches dangling precariously.

20c here, barometer steady and not a breath of wind. If it wasn't for the inter webs you wouldn't have guessed there was action on the way. Hoping all have a good night of it either way. T.
