Also wishing the progs are wrong! I don't think there is no chance, but the chance is very very small. Definitely should see a couple of showers though ... but if moisture isn't too much of a problem, should see some nasty storms to the northeast of us and in NSW today.

NE Vic looks great today, convection on ranges already. Melbourne not so great, but on a side note, may see 30C in Melbourne today, 29 in northern burbs already.
Some amazing temperature differences around the state today, ranging from low 30's inland and northern regions, to mid to high teens at most places near the coast. Most of the Wimmera and S/W seem to be very cool right now.
Huge area of storms brewing over N/E regions at the same time.
25.8c here at 2.30pm and quite breezy.
Very interesting out here in the outer south western suburbs. Werribee sitting around 26c in a SSE Wind, and about 8km inland here in Wyndham Vale is 33c in a WNW. Major difference, amazing really. Great example of Suburbs next door, two extremly different conditions dictated by the winds..
Blimey! Just took the bins out and was shocked how cold it has got since an hour ago, from 25c down to 15c! No visual change at all, still clear and sunny.
I loved the weather on the weekend and now its back to like when I left at the beginning of September. The US threw everything at me in terms of weather when I was there. It was exciting and got some great photos

Topped out @ 17°C here so quite mild, showers just starting again after 2mm overnight. Have been able to be out in the veg garden most of the afternoon.
I had 28C max yesterday which to me seemed ridiculously high as Ballarat and Kilmore were only 25C/26C but it certainly did feel warm.
Right now it is 6.6C (although was down closer to 5 a moment ago with a lengthy shower). Another large 'blob' of rain approaching. The coldest air is due to come through tonight so with a straight southerly stream expected it could get interesting around the top of Mount Macedon by morning. Shower streams usually intensify at night whilst the bay is still relatively cool so it will be interesting to see what eventuates.
Yes looking at the band of rain coming from the Southeast it's quite unusual as it usually dissipates from that direction
by the time it reaches me
However this seems to be intensifying
