Went up to Donna Buang last night, was amazing stuff! We were up there from about 1am - 5am. Few 4WDs around, but we mostly had the mountain to ourselves. Branches down all over the place, with one that blocked the road for our descent, had a 4WD with winch though so that worked well! The toboggan runs were under at least a foot of powdered snow. We were the first ones on the runs, so nothing had been touched when we went down the first time. Was snowing almost the entire time we were up there, wind wasn't too bad though. Not sure about the temp, but with some precaution it didn't feel super cold (I was in jeans and thermals with sneakers). While a bit crazy to go up at that time, there's rarely anyone up there at the time, so I've found it the best time to go up, plus it feels a little more magical than going through the day.
This was about 300m altitude below the summit, probably 6km distance from the summit (3km below ten mile turntable)
Was amazing how deep the snow was, stepping in and having your leg disappear into the powder!
