Just came back from a day up at Wallan & later Epping. Very wet & chilly including several fairly decent heavy showers.

Yep winter is here. Thank god for indoor play centres. This time of year is a nightmare when you have a 3 and a half year old stuck indoors.

maximum of 8.7 here today worth frequent showers all night and day. I would say there was a gap of Max 15 minutes between every shower.

Love it

Boronia, Lilydale, Maccelsfield, Belgrave, FTG, yep was all of the above.
Don't need any wind now on those very wet Gums, they will drop now being so heavily wet.

Stayed the weekend down at Venus Bay. Got hit with what can only be described as a freight train at about 4am on Sunday morning. Massive amount of thunder and lightning. Never seen rain or wind like it down there. Gutters couldn't keep up with the deluge. Rained on and off all Sunday morning. The hail that fell from the sky wasn't hail, more like chunks of sharp ice fragments. Tarwin River is just about to flood, but I think it's just fallen short of bursting its banks. Give it another day and night like that and it probably would though.

Showers setting in again now, and still a chilly 7c here, but at least the wind has dropped.
Finished the month with a very respectable 153mm. :D

Another chilly & cloudy morning out this way. Not expecting anymore in terms of rainfall. Drier conditions coming up so it's back to the bike for a while.

Regarding the Rabbits, they are everywhere out here, especially near the Kororoit Creek in Deer Park & Caroline Springs. Quite a few Hares as well. They will never die from flooding burrows here as we simply don't get the rainfall you guys get out east. They at least keep my Jack Russell entertained. ;)

Don't think so Chris, looks like 1000m was the limit, with sleet down to 700m according to hillybilly.
Emptied the Nylex at 9am yesterday for the final June total, and have just emptied another 25mm out of it, which has come from just drizzle. Very foggy and saturated here for a couple of days now, will be nice to see some blue sky for a change later this week!
