What a fantastic event all round! I think most of the state has received some good falls when we compare to previous systems. The southwest missed out on a lot of it though and my father on the farm down there is pretty annoyed.

Drizzle stopped early this morning here and it's been a coolish breezy day since then with a little bit of sun. Cloud starting to move back over now and I'm sure drizzle or showers will redevelop this afternoon. Can already see heavier showers approaching from the southeast and drizzle and light showers streaming up the bay.

over 60mm here for the last few days, it hasnt really stopped drizzling but it hasnt been heavy either, just constant. Quite lovely really and warmish too. well, warmish for Mount Macedon in mid april. The thermometer has benn stuck betweeen 12 and 13 for the last few days, no change between night and daytime temps at all.

Had a quick glance at the Nylex whilst running indoors in a downpour, looked like at least another 10mm in there, so could be 75mm or more now. Will confirm in the morning. Don't need any more for a while now thanks, got work to catch up on. :D

About 45mm all up here with close to half of that in the last 24hrs thanks to the trusty SE airstream on the backside of the low (almost always provides for here).

Prior to that all we got was lengthy periods of moderate drizzle, and my locality got a lot less than even a few kms up the mountain (Well over 70mm at the Mount Macedon MW station so far).

It's really coming down atm, still drizzle but heavy and thick. Could end up with some pretty decent additions to the overall total by lunchtime tomorrow.

It's greening up rapidly here as well, and if we get the cool nights and mild sunny days forecast for next week hopefully we can salvage some half decent autumn colour. Atm it's still mostly green leaves and what is changing (only about 10% of total foliage) is showing fairly ordinary colour compared to the last couple of years. Hopefully the remaining 90 odd percent gets a chance to develop the reds and oranges.

Happy to see and feel the sunlight again. The dogs are even happier as they will get a long walk this morning. I wonder if we will get some showers this afternoon from the south east.

Got 48mm's for the 4 day event here, best event since November. Sun out now and the grass all here here has turned green.
Amazing what a bit of rain can do. Looks like a fairly dry week ahead now.

45mm for the event in the manual rain gauge. Tank is well and truly full. Happy with that.

76mm here.
So much happiness all around the state, it's not very often a system manages to please just about everyone, but this one seems to have.
Looking forward to a fine week ahead. :D

That is so awesome about the rain. While I was away I saw a couple of times how much rain everyone was having. It's a godsend, especially for the people that needed it. Nice to come home to everything looking so refreshed. There was a beauty of a storm over Singapore when I flew there for the second leg of my trip. Was cursing I had my camera packed away, the storm clouds were amazing. We had to go in a holding pattern for half an hour before we could land. That looked so funny on the flight path map. Except for two days in two and a half weeks, Japan's weather was beautiful for all the cherry blossom viewing. We were lucky. It's always good to be home tho :)

We ended up with a total of 34 mm here for the system. Would have loved a bit more but that's just greed (and envy!) talking.

Certainly the autumn break for us and maybe just a little run off if we can get a bit more soon.
