Gippsland going off. Expect a few big falls scattered around Sale to Orbost.

It's going to get a bit interesting later on in central regions as the weak change pushes through very slowly as the afternoon progresses. Around 38C here so similar if not a bit higher than this time yesterday.

41.3 here in Carrum Downs hoping for more of a spark with the same energy from last nights.

Wilko, if you don't mind me asking, did you used to teach at Sandy Secondary College?

Nice little thunder-shower here, sure the plants appreciate a break from the sun. Haven't noticed any substantial change in temp, ground drying in minutes.

Sure was

I'm confused
The temp has gone back up again aside from the Southerly wind
Must be some seriously hot air aloft as the winds are not having any influence currently

Nope, split up and went north and south of us Robyn! :(
Had a few distant rumbles and a few big blobs but still waiting for a direct hit, could come later.

Power went out at work (Burwood) around 2pm so they sent us all home, was getting VERY stuffy in the office! Quite widespread outage, all minor traffic lights out on Burwood Hwy heading East until Blackburn Rd.

Now home in Croydon, hearing cracking thunder....5 second short sharp bursts of rain that evapaorate as soon as they hit the ground! And one strange whooshing wind gust that made the windows rattle and bow?

But it's still HOT HOT HOT :( :(
