Hillybilly (David), Blackee (Anthony) & me, 93ben (Ben) have taken over running the forum after the passing of Rivergirl (Robyn) last year . I just wanted to let you know that I'm currently in the progress of cleaning up and updating things after I was able to finally gain access to it. We will post more later.

Severe Weather Outlook 2013/2014

SKY NEWS Weather is forecasting another hot summer with an increase in tropical cyclones, heatwaves and thunderstorms this severe weather season.

Severe weather in Australia is often strongly linked to the constantly shifting pattern of sea surface temperatures through the Pacific Ocean, known as El Niño and La Niña. This year the Pacific Ocean is in a neutral phase so the main driving force behind our weather will instead be warmer than normal sea surface temperatures surrounding Australia.

Lots more info at the following link, including number of forecast severe weather days (storms, heatwaves etc.)!
