Wow, did you guys make the new images for Melbourne's 7 day Forecast? They look awesome!
Anyway it only got up to 29 degrees today and I was shocked when they said thunderstorms for Melbourne tomorrow. I hope this is true, I've been waiting for them for a while. Though it says in the morning when I'm out around 10am and therefore I may miss taking photos of it with my new camera that's been catching dust lol. Melbourne has had boring weather lately and there's been nothing to take a photo of since I haven't been out much.
Looks like the chance of thunder in the Melbourne area has just about gone.
GPATS recored over 1600 strikes in the area of Victoria in the 24 hours to 9am much of it over the ocean.
Cool change seems to be through Cape Otway already, so won't be too long before temps start dropping in central areas, early afternoon through the CBD I'd ssay.
Wind getting hot out now, change is going through Geelong now, Avalon has just spiked to 39C, around 37C in the city, change may get too city a bit earlier than 4pm.
Around 36.5C here today, windy and absolutely dry as chips. The garden is being kept alive by using a large amount of water, I know we should all be saving water still but if it means that or the garden turning to dust unfortunately I choose the former.
GFS has downgraded massively for the weekend. It has a large amount of rain for the last week of the month along with a big intensification of the monsoon but who can believe it. If it were to come off I guess that would be the end of the extreme semi permanent heatwave though. This morning there was thunder and lightning apparently and probably around 20 seconds of rain because when I went and checked the gauge there was about one drop in it.
Reached 37.4c before the change came through at 3.35pm. Now its a pleasant 24.4c.
Before the change winds gusted up to 30 knots.
Did not get even one drop of rain here today - just 1.8mm's for the month to date.
Cooler for the next few days and just the chance of a shower or two.
Look's hot again next Thurday.
3000 Litre water tank which was almost full a month ago is nearly empty now.

Nah Ben. Not our own. But they look much better! Expanding upon the icons gradually.
Managed 2.2mm to 9am this morning and nothing more. Lightning and thunder display last night was quite good with them rolling onto the land from the coast several times.
Otherwise today was dry fine and sunny. Change come through this morning with only a max of 30 degrees being recorded here.

HUGE embarrassment for the bom in sydney today. Downgrading forecast temp from 39 to 31. And from 45 to 39 in the western suburbs. Someone was clearly sleeping yesterday. Even I knew there was no chance.
On the other hand, Bourke hit 46 so far and Moomba in S.A. 48. And that's so far. Crazy.
