Now THAT was good to be woken up by at 1.30. First it was the wind, then the rumbles... then opened the eyes and saw the lightning... then heard the pouring rain :)

Looks like the western suburbs copped a bit more for a nice change. Out east here, 5.5mm from that burst or two overnight.

Looks to be tracking more to the south now so the SE and Peninsula might cop some more soon.

7mm in Olinda from those storms overnight, a nice hors d'oeuvre for what's coming today. Nice to feel the atmosphere all moist and soggy again! :D

13 mm so far, must have slept through some of the heavier rain, the garden will be loving it.

The entire suburb of Elwood was awoken by one almighty flang around 6.15 this morning! Wind was intense pre the storms at 1am. 12 mm here and ticking over nicely.

First thing, can one of you guys please change the title of this thread? It's now a bit misleading.

Wow, what a morning and look what's still to come on the radar! :bringiton:

It's just gone black as a dogs guts here at work, about to be smashed by something. :lighting: :rainfall:
Have the laptop plugged in just in case.

I should have started a new thread when it was obvious no heatwave was going to happen down here, one hot day does not a heatwave make! May as well stick with it as we're into it now, Thursday is going to be a hot one.
The rain/storm band to our west is tilting northwards now, so expecting some big falls in central districts, 20-30mm here is quite possible.

No worries Geoff. Btw, sorry I missed your PM the other week while I was up at Olinda.

It is absolutely pouring here! Very heavy rain.

Looks like the band will clear out in a hour or two. What will happen after the storms are gone, it supposed to hit 25 today so maybe more storms later on.

It's absolutely pouring here with loud rumbles and flashes of lightning! The rain around 5/5:30am worke me up. Looks like Melbourne's drought for November is about to be broken! :)

Why does this remind me of the 2010 La Nina? Absolutely bucketing here, humid and very, very low cloud. 18mm so far - 6 of that falling in the last 5-10 minutes with that red blob on radar.

Holy violets! That was one hell of a drive! Driving to Monash Uni along Westall Road & went black as dogs guts at Clayton Road then the heavens unleashed. Absolutely belted down could barely see the road in front of me horrible to drive in. Lots of flash flooding a bit of lightning now. Lets just say November is ending with a bang!

Arrrrghhhhhh! Left home at 8.20am, I've just arrived back home as traffic was at a standstill. Took me 40 minutes to travel about 4km. Wellington Road isn't moving, so will head off FTG Rd way. Still lots of thunder and lightning here, roads are flooded - take care :)
