A few hours of thunder and some great lightening and 14 ml of rain (officially and in my gauge!) Looked spectacular on radar as it approached but petered out a bit and dropped just south west of us. I think Red Cliffs might have copped some of it, or looked like it on radar. Was nice sitting on the verandah watching with a glass or two of wine and a couple of Jack Russells!
Dry, dusty and hot - usually!

Wow, that's a big drop. Currently here it's 27°C, very nice weather. A surprising 0.2mm here this morning.

Nice short sharp shower off the bay but not enough to settle the dust.

Out walking the dog before and saw what looked like a bit of an anvil off to the NE. Radar has confirm my suspicions with a couple of strikes registered.

Looks like the Indian summer will continue for the rest of this week, peaking close to 30 degC on Good Friday. Colder air likely to hit Saturday at this stage with temps maxing out in the high teens after that. Easter Monday looks like it could be very cold with alpine snow, so a weekend of contrasts coming up...

Nice sunset from the POMC cam

Looking at the charts, it could get interesting, the front fighting against the high for days!

6.9C here this morning and then only got to 20.8C, almost 5C cooler than the city.
A couple of warm days followed by a couple of hot days and then an early autumn cold outbreak which hopefully will see a bit more action for most of us in the form of showers.

Can anyone report on the current radar for those under it? Anything exciting?
EDIT - I heard something then too Geoff...wasn't really paying too much attention to it thought. Presumed it was an aeroplane.

Heard thunder, went out the back and saw a really long CC that was pretty cool. Out of the blue.

Certainly lots of red cells erupting on the radar now as it's crossing the bay, going to get lively!

Where did it come from? BSCH was quiet. It was showing nothing there.
I thought it clear outside and then heard what sounded like thunder, I look at the radar and suddenly out of nowhere, BANG!!
@The_FishmanAU is all I need to say.

Saw a massive crawler about 5 min ago. Infrequent lightning but certainly delayed booming thunder. Nice little surprise
