16mm rain so far warmest today was 21.5c at 1930hrs. It is now 20.4c Humidity 88%
Sorry KARL a bit late getting back no thunderstorms around here today.
Just a few pics from that line moving across from the west. Nothing special. Very frustrating storm to photograph, lightning was as frequent as I've seen with any storm, but it was 95% CC with about 4 or 5 clear CG's. Very annoying. I was willing it on to spit out a few, but it just didn't want to play ball.
Anyway, hammering down here now with the plenty of thunder. Should be easy to get to sleep!

Hey cheers Mad*moo73!
Yes the engagement to my girlfriend is the best thing on top of a September-February period that has been full of countless surprises, from glandular fever to finally getting my Learner's Permit, and enjoying my best-ever Storm Season!
Some great-looking showers and thunderstorms to the west and southwest of Melbourne earlier this afternoon and evening (got a few okayish pics while travelling betwen the City and the southeast suburbs), got treated to a bit of lightning at around 9PM and some light cooling rain... I can hear thunder now as the next line approaches (even though it looks mostly rather weak and messy on radar over the metropolitan area), I'm gonna go offline and try to record some footage.
Well I'm off to bed, an eventful night here with one of the most spectacular lightning displays I've ever seen, and I used to live in darwin, and a very useful 25mm. If I don't get any more rain now I'd still be happy.
Constant thunder here with the constant CC lightning. Havnt seen a single CG since getting home 30 min ago. Light rain here now, however drove through some very very heavy patches on way back from axedale.
Slowly starting to pick up the rain rate now. Sounds and looks the deal, but at the moment, bark worse than bite. Still amazing for an appetiser!!! To quote the grat Oliver.... "please sir, I would like some more!"
I live in a world where I dont see to believe, but I believe to see...
Finally, 4 hours after it formed into a line, it has reached us, after a torturous wait. Still some lightning and thunder around this late at night. Rainfall is quite torrential also.
