Here's a pic from a friend on facebook - old oak tree hit by lighning. Taken near Monash Uni on Royal Parade, Parkville in the last 30 minutes!!!
Heading home past there in about 20 minutes, will try and get a better picture!

Bayswater and Croydon Rd's were particularly bad coming home....driving through whiteout conditions and the roads are rivers. Several cars parked off Croydon Rd in the ditch next to the high school had water 1/2 way up the doors and poor soaked souls trying to push them out. Looks like round 2 is rapidly building out west, we'll see if this holds. Out to check the rain gague!

A touch over 5mm from that 1st lot. Managed to leave the laundry door open so now the floor is wet
Kilsyth and Lilydale seem to have copped a bit judging by the number of jobs.
Rain stopped about 20 min ago but is now starting up steadily again.

That would have been fun to see.
Looking at the radar it looks like Round 2 is nearly here.
@The_FishmanAU is all I need to say.

Having said i doubt we will get anything here, we had 15mm's in 12 minutes and even some small hail.
Plenty of thunder and lightning as well. Still plenty of thunder now.
