Check out the 512K radar from Bairnsdale and Melbourne from the City to here and to the South East is about to get smashed!
Those radars are working.

Right smack under it here in Macedon, really loud thunder and a lotta lightning over the last hour or so. Looked like about 7mm in the gauge as i ran inside from work. Still steadily raining now. Nice and cool too.

On the train ATM and all I can say is wow! There's a Huge wall ad dark grey, and I hope I can walk home in time before it hits!! Edit: to late it's started. How fast is it developing???

Awesome! I can see the storm from Templestowe! The temperature is dropping, the wind is picking up and it's getting darker inside!
Update: It just started to rain yay! My rain dance paid off!
Update (4:07pm): Just heard thunder!

Steady thunder here, wish the radar was back so I knew what is coming. Skies are black and temp is dropping. Have to go back to work soon too.

If you look at the national radar there is storms pretty much the entire length of the trough now. From Melbourne all the way up in to the NT!

BOM 64km seems to be up now, last updates 04:18 UTC, then 05:00 UTC.
Some CC's and rumbles here and somewhere between 0.0 and 0.1mm so far.

getting brighter here now, all over. was fun while it lasted 5mm showing for Mt Macedon, i think we got a bit more of a direct hit here on the farm.
