AWF SEVERE THUNDERSTORM ADVICE
Please use official warnings from the Bureau of Meteorology for professional services.
Thunderstorm activity is continuing to affect Victoria tonight. There are several thunderstorms currently being the focus; one near Echuca, one near Wangaratta, and another one southeast of Frankston. A small cell has also developed near Melbourne City a short time ago, but does appear to be weak, although has had reports of lightning. Further developing convection thanks to nocturnal cooling in the states southwest is causing isolated thunderstorms.
No severe activity is currently occurring.
Lightning frequency is very high this evening with thunderstorm activity across the state, and flash flooding will be the main feature for any stronger thunderstorm that develops. Large hail and damaging winds are possible also, but to a lesser extent.
The thunderstorm chart for tomorrow's expectations will be issued within the next 15 minutes, at the following link,

Advices will be issued intermittently tonight.
